Update on the No Anonymous Membership Policy

Hello Tazzunauts!

As you already know, we have been sending out requests to Tazzu Community members to provide more information about themselves in their profiles. This is an attempt to identify and repel Spammers and Data Miners from Tazzu. It would also improve your networking experience and generate trust amongst the community members.

Members are only expected to provide a reasonable amount of information, similar to the information used for any public business listing. If you choose to provide more, that’s great, but is totally up to you. Currently Tazzu profiles are not accessible to unregistered or unauthenticated users.

Required Information:

  • Name
  • Contact Information ( Phone, or a Legitimate Website )
  • Location
  • Occupation

Nice to have information:

  • Avatar
  • Personal Bio
  • Interests and activities
  • Links to other social networking profiles ( LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube, … )

I would like to add that the email address required for registering your Tazzu account is not sufficient as a replacement for Phone, or a Legitimate website URL.

If you experience difficulties updating your profiles’ information please do not hesitate to contact any of the Tazzu Admins or Moderators; we will be glad to help.

We appreciate your cooperation,

Thank you!

Celebrating 10,000+ posts from Real People

Hello Tazzunauts!

We’ve got 10,000+ posts on the forum and none of them are trying to sell us cell phones, sexual content, call centers and tell us how bad CDI college is. We’ve actually managed to bond, communicate, learn, promote and collaborate. As a matter of fact, I know of several community members who have joined forces and are working on really cool projects.

Celebrating 10,000+ Posts on Tazzu from Real People

As a large family of friends we’ve succeeded in inspiring each other and staying inspired, and this friendship is based on sharing what we know. Remember knowledge is power, and we’ve managed to form a power grid!

We thought it would be a good idea to take a moment and feel wonderful about our achievements, then we can go back and continue on doing whatever we were doing.

Techno.Chic

Techno-chicWelcome to our first Tazzu Member Spotlight.

May I introduce to you Leah - also known as techno.chic in the Tazzu Forums. Smart, funny and beautiful inside and out, Leah is a great asset to the Tazzu Community.

Leah and I have known each other for a while now, and first met on another forum where we were both Moderators. When questioned if she would be interested in moderating here at Tazzu, her response was a resounding ‘of course!’ - the rest is history.

Leah is a Network Administrator hailing from Surrey BC, but currently resides in Los Angeles CA with her newly-wed husband. Apart from hanging out with friends, another one of Leah’s passions is photography, specifically Architecture, Animals, and Gardens & Flowers. Be sure to visit her flickr account to view her beautiful photos.

Top 10 Online Networking Tips

Photography by Jonathan Some rights reserved.

A while back, I asked the Tazzu Forum Members to assist me with a list of ‘online networking tips’. Below is a compilation, and summary of the great response that was received - they are in no particular order.

Thank you to the following Tazzu Members for your participation in this discussion: Verithin, infinity, Liesa, techno.chic, MCSD, Aristocrat, EdC, jentekk, sstark, emeraldconsulting, and kulpreet_singh.

Top 10 Online Networking Tips

1. Utilize Your Profile Efficiently
Work your profile! Have a proper avatar, add website links to your signature, and list your preferred title. In a virtual world that is the only way that people can learn more about you, and eventually trust you. Hiding behind a vague image, and username doesn’t mean ‘business’ to most people.
