Hello Tazzu members, here I am reporting to you about yet another splendid get together we had one lovely evening at The Frog & Firkin pub.

As soon as we got there, we were cheerfully greeted by Leah, our long term wonderful member and Forum Moderator. You know Leah as Techno.Chic on the forum, and she had come all the way from California to party with us. Unfortunately many of our regular members couldn’t make it this time for different reasons, which is why I have posted a picture of Leah here to remind you of the great opportunity you’ve missed. See! You could have met her in person like we did!

Vadim and Steve got there ahead of us, with their half empty beer glasses. Steve ( from sebgitech.com ) is working on one of his new project which is an online strategy game. He also mentioned that two other Tazzu members are helping him out on this project. There will be more about Steve’s project on our upcoming member’s highlights posts. So please stay tuned.

Steve is a great conversation mate. He has been in and around the industry for a while, he has traveled the world, and he is a pretty well seasoned, experienced, and knowledgeable man. He also has a nice quirky sense of humor.

I had the great opportunity to meet Vadim at our last party for the first time. He is one of our new members. Vadim has spent his last 10 years working in some of the best furtune 500 companies such as Nokia and IBM. He has recently graduated from BEST program at BCIT and he is an entrepreneur today. You can visit Vadim’s blog here
Vadim is so calm, polite and gentle; poor man he had to sit through my passionate lecture about Open Source and FOSS, I hope I didn’t scare him off. I get a bit excited when Open Source is the topic of discussion.

Matty is also one of our newest community members. He is currently a UBC student and interested in Web Applications and Internet Business. It is always a good idea to start networking early on while still at school. We are glad to have Matty in our community so we can witness his advancements and do what we can to contribute to his success.
Our next party will be in July. Jen and I are working hard to bring the next phase of development to our community which will be a new forum software, new look and feel, and implementing the first foundations of the Tazzu web application.

This is great Rastin. I had an awesome time on Tuesday with everyone that was there; and hope that I get to meet more Tazzu members in July!
