March 2007 Tazzu ™ web stats

Hello Tazzuians!

I’ve got some numbers here that I would like to share with you. The following are the Google Analytics web stats for Tazzu Forum and Blog over the last month.

Tazzu Forum Stats

During the month of March, 2007 we had 39,117 page views and 4,620 visits to our forum. That would be 8.47 page views per visit. 78.27 % of the traffic is returning visitors, this shows our community member’s loyalty towards each other.

The Geo Map overlay shows a high concentration of visits from North America, but I was glad to see some hits from other countries of the world as well. It would be nice too, in the future if we could attract more members from more countries of the world.

March 2007 Tazzu Webstats

80.04 % of us use Windows, 14.16% use Macs, and 5.67% use Linux. The number of Mac users is higher than what I expected, although I expected to see more Linux users on Tazzu.

I am thrilled to see that 53.05 % of us are using Firefox vs. 39.65 % IE.

21.17 % are still using IE6. Come on people, it’s time to let IE6 rest in peace.

Number of Safari and Opera users are less than 2 percent each, for those who care.

Only 0.8 % of us are using 800 x 600 screens. That’s it! next time we will be designing templates for 1024 x 768 or larger screens. :D

Tazzu Blog Stats

We’ve had 1,628 page views, and 545 visits on our blog during the month of March 2007. That would be 2.99 page views per visit. 66.06 % are returning visitors. Thank you all for reading our blog.

March 2007, Tazzu Blog Webstat

65.50 % were Firefox users, and only 29.91 % where IE users; among them 18.35% use IE 6.

70.83 % of our blog readers are using Windows and 27.16 % use Mac.

March 2007, Tazzu Blog webstat

Only 0.73% use 800 x 600 size screens. Another good reason to design for larger screens next time.

I’m stunned, over 39,000 page views, that is fantastic. Tazzu rocks!

Yes! not bad for the start, is it?
    :)

Those are great stats. How much advertising and in what forms (if any) has been done?

We haven’t really done any advertisement in the traditional sense fumbler! So far all the coming traffic is by word of mouth. There will be more PR happening as we go, and the more members we get, the more referrals come in as a result.

We’re not so concerned about getting tons of hits from unknown users on the web. The future Tazzu web application will be subscription based, and I’d like to shy away from the idea of selling advertisements on Tazzu for time being.

Our goal is to have real profiles in the community, and actually help members promote and grow their businesses using the online tools that we will provide. I personally like that idea better than a large number of unknown hits coming from the search engines.
